MEET RICARDO TOMÁS
A little about my background first…
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from The University of Texas at San Antonio in Architectural Design and now reside in Dallas, Texas where I have been an Interior Designer since 1990.I have owned my wedding and event planning company since 2004 and have been featured in The Knot, D Weddings, Wedding Wire and Martha Stewart Weddings. I currently serve on the Board of Directors for the Society of Wedding Professionals, a networking organization of wedding and event professionals for Dallas and Fort Worth.
I also give back to my community by serving as Co-Executive Director for the Miss Plano Frisco Organization, a local pageant franchise in Texas, which helps young ladies compete within the Miss America organization and earn scholarship money towards their future college tuition.
Here is my passion…
As a wedding planner, it has not been all about my couples’ wedding journey but, about the relationship I have built with them during the planning process. Designing and creating the “Dream Wedding” for my clients’ means listening in detail to their wishes, hopes, dreams, happy memories and personal lifestyles in order to capture the very essence of who they are and make every experience and detail that much more personal to them at their own wedding. I love working with my clients who I inspire and those that inspire me and that is what makes each of my weddings unique and personalized to each and every wedding. My background in interior design has given me firsthand knowledge of what is current and innovative with colors, fashion, fabrics and décor accents which in turn makes each of my weddings current, fashionable, unique and distinctive in design.In closing…
My brides have called me their fairy godfather, “Franck” from the hit movie Father of the Bride, miracle worker, an angel, Dallas’ very own David Tutera but, the best name of all is calling me their friend and allowing me to follow them during their next journey of becoming a family.
